1st Shift Material Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Material Coordinator is responsible for any of the following: coordinating picking work, part replenishment, material checks, line part availability help, outage escalations, and problem-solving. They manage all paperwork that flows through the warehouse/supermarket and ensure the systems are up to date and accurate. They actively partner with fabrication, material planning, and assembly to minimize outages and solve shortages.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all triggers, signals, and paperwork are used and in place.
- Assist with Kanban database maintenance and execution internal and external
- Maintain standard work related to material flow systems and processes
- Lead Kanban set up and execution process to ensure part availability
- Communicate, document, escalate and track part shortages
- Assist in all material flow needs that arise
- Other duties as assigned
Key Competencies:
- Problem Solving: Uses data analysis and excellent processes to help predict problem areas, identify areas of opportunity, and update standard work
- Analytical: Superior analytical skills
- Computer: High level proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Access, Excel, and Outlook (should have excel skills such as VLOOKUP’s and other intermediate excel knowledge)
- Communication: Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid SC driver’s license and acquire a PIV license for sit down/stand up lift, Yard Dog spotter truck, and golf cart.
