Job Summary 
As a Controls Technician at Trane, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, and commissioning of building automation systems. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure systems are installed and operating correctly. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, control theory, and building automation.


Responsibilities:  

  • Install, program, and commission building automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control systems and related equipment.
  • Perform system diagnostics and analysis to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and end-users.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system installations and service activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
     

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation systems.
  • Proficiency in programming and commissioning building automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control theory.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
