Position Title: 2nd Shift Tool & Die Technician/Machinist
Manager/Team Leader: Jessie Arnold
Position Description:
Þ 2nd Shift Tool & Die Technician/Machinist to support Lynn Haven’s Preventative Maintenance of Fin Stamping Dies, Sheet Metal Trim/Punch/Form Dies as well as support Project Tooling/Fixture Requests. Flexible Work Schedule as needed and Over Time as needed.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Þ Perform Preventative Maintenance Tasks on All dies – Including Fabricating Shims, Sharpening Critical Die Details and Polishing
Þ Fabricate/Machine Critical Die Detail Replacements to OEM Prints/Specifications
Þ Fabricate/Machine Precision Fixtures/Jigs to Support Manufacturing Process as Needed
Þ Fabricate/Machine Precision Parts for Machinery Repairs as Needed
Þ Fabricate/Machine Precision Parts for New Product Development as Needed
Þ Die/Press Trouble Shooting Skills for Problem Resolution
Key Competencies:
Þ Proficient in the use of Machining Equipment such as CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, Surface Grinder, Heat Treat Oven and Optical Comparator
Þ Proficient in the use of AutoCAD for Part Development as well as Modifications to Existing Dies/Parts
Þ Proficient in Blue Print Reading
Þ Proficient in the use of Precision Measuring Devices such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, etc.
Þ Proficient in Bore/Ream Holes, Schedule/Perform Heat Treatments, Grind Edges/Flats, Mill Slots/Pockets/Keyways
Þ Proficient in Indicating Object – Die Alignment
Þ Proficient in Machine Guarding including LOTO Procedures
Þ Participate & Contribute in Continuous Improvement Activities
Þ Good Skills in the following Competencies:

Education/Experience:
Þ High School Diploma or GED Required
Þ 10 yrs. Tool & Die/Machinist Experience Required
Þ G Code Programming Required
Þ Basic Welding Skills a Plus
Þ Certified Machinist Preferred
