Co-Op Summary:
Trane Technologies’ Co-Op Program provides current college students with meaningful assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our Co-Op is offered to candidates working towards their Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or General Engineering field and will operate full-time from June to December as we work with your University towards Academic Credit for your work.

Location:
Onsite in Davidson, NC – $3500 relocation/housing stipend is provided prior to starting
We have multiple co-op positions available with our Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) team, which is responsible for developing, standardizing and validating leading-edge manufacturing technologies for efficient use in our many factories around the world.
Our Davidson, NC facility is a global center of technology assessment for the company. The AMT Co-Op role will help us prepare and execute tests using a variety of technologies including robots, automation and digital systems. Under the guidance of AMT management, you will:
· Safely and effectively assemble equipment and prepare test scenarios
o Construct workbenches, racks, cages, lighting, etc.
o Complete mechanical, electrical, data and sensor connections for test equipment
o Validate test setup readiness with AMT workstream owners
· Perform tests of advanced manufacturing technologies
o Run tests to determine technology capabilities
o Gather test data in a structured format and perform baseline data analyses
o Pre- and post-process test materials and assess their performance against stated goals
o Document findings and observations from the test and test equipment
o Create initial drafts of technology standards, based on learned best practices and test results
· “Own” the performance of equipment by operating and maintaining that equipment to OEM specs
· Communicate observations and outcomes with test owners and other stakeholders
· Coordinate with other functional teams, such as Shipping, EHS, Procurement, and Facilities

Successful Candidate’s Profile:
We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative team members who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus.
· Must be currently enrolled in a BS/BA in an Engineering major with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0 throughout the duration of the program
· Must be available to work full-time for 6 consecutive months
· Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking your own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences
· Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently; ability to prioritize tasks based on importance
· Demonstrated leadership: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on work projects
· U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Salary Information:
Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
