Where is the work

This position is based On-Site at the Bangalore Shared Service Center.

What will you do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately and timely apply payments received across multiple bank accounts to North America accounts receivable portfolios
  • Proactively follow up on unidentified payments and unapplied cash, minimizing variances through communication with internal and external customers
  • Process AR adjustments and customer refunds per Limits of Authority (LOA)
  • Process payment files according to due date schedules; communicate concerns and delays to customers/collectors
  • Execute month-end activities according to checklists and timelines
  • Build and maintain updated process documentation reflecting dynamic process changes
  • Prepare and analyze reports to monitor process health and drive corrective actions to clear variances
  • Ensure timely submission of SOX and Audit reports/supporting documentation
  • Quickly escalate significant issues impacting application/adjustment processes, unapplied cash, and payment files
  • Maintain high satisfaction levels with internal and external customers via innovative solutions and improvement of key performance indicators
  • Liaise frequently with accounting, collections, and other teams to strengthen collaboration
  • Promote a culture of continuous process improvement through lean tools and standard work
  • Ensure compliance with corporate/local credit policies and regulations, including trade compliance and Sarbanes Oxley

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a multinational or global team environment
  • Understanding of commercial credit and collection practices; knowledge of various payment methods (wire transfer, cheque, promissory notes, direct debit)
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Strong grasp of accounting concepts
  • Experience with Rimilia or similar automated cash application software preferred
  • Experience building teams and improving processes through lean tools preferred
