Apprentice-Technician
Trane has an exciting new opportunity for a Chiller Technician Apprentice based in Perth with a leading original equipment manufacturer. Trane Technologies is the exclusive manufacturer and service division for Trane products, with direct access to the Trane factory, technical literature, training and spare parts. The future for Trane is moving forward with new products and superior technical service for our customers.
This position would also suit a second- or third-year apprentice who wishes to advance their industry experience and skillset by completing their training with the leading chiller manufacture.
Reporting to the Service Manager, as a Chiller Technician Apprentice at Trane, you will embark on a hands-on learning experience that combines classroom instruction with practical, on-the-job training. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with a passion for HVAC technology who are eager to kickstart a rewarding career in the industry. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians, apprentices will gain comprehensive knowledge of Trane chiller products, develop technical skills, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality service to our valued clients. This apprenticeship program is a unique opportunity to grow within a globally recognized company, with the prospect of advancing to more senior roles upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist technicians in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Trane chiller products.
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop hands-on technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Attend and actively engage in classroom instruction to supplement practical learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of work activities, observations, and learnings for future reference.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional development by actively seeking feedback and guidance from experienced team members.
- Support the team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction in every interaction.
- Embrace a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or College pre-apprenticeship course.
- Drivers licence is a plus
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in HVAC technology.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
