Job Summary:

Trane in Roanoke, VA is hiring for an Area Contracting Manager to join our team.  In this role you will be responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of the contracting fulfillment processes in its goal of operational excellence, support of overall strategic objectives, and accountable for overall project financial results.

Where is the work:

From Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires

What you will do:   

  • Ensures that quality standards are maintained, after an order is closed, for contracting process and functions required for execution and customer satisfaction, including new equipment, existing building services, and building automation.

  • Overall contracting responsibility for the following functions within the categories of new equipment, existing building services, and building automation: order validation, order entry, order follow up, customer inquiry, engineering, submittals, service operations, building automation operations, project management, technical support, warranties, claims, and resource allocations. 

  • Develops or works with team leaders/coaches to establish required skill sets, talents, and capabilities.  

  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff as needed. 

 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in facilities or HVAC systems preferred.

  • Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes associated with the installation of building automation systems and turnkey projects preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: 

  • DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

 

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $120,000 to $150,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
