Area Service Manager Spain - Portugal
Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to meet and exceed AOP targets set for the territory, ensure TK service standards are maintained through the dealer network, and achieve high-end client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve growth according to AOP through the existing dealer network. Maximize service, parts, and aftermarket sales based on the sales plan, and follow up on performance targets with existing and occasionally new dealers.
- Manage relationships with dealers and direct customers, acting as the primary point of contact between Thermo King (TK) EMEA and dealers.
- Maintain close communication with dealerships to ensure they are aware of innovations and changes within TK EMEA. Provide training to support the technical and practical knowledge of TK’s equipment, its applications, and maintenance in the field. Serve as a link between internal departments and dealerships, including aftermarket, warranty, sales, and product development.
- Collect and structure competitive market information, and work closely with sales managers to achieve sales targets.
- Develop strategies to gain a competitive advantage, maintain the best service after warranty, and create value propositions for parts and service. Provide field feedback to support new product development.
- Develop and lead the service strategy in the area of responsibility.
- Provide technical training and service support to dealers in the designated territory. Ensure dealers have the appropriate tools and competencies to deliver best-in-class service to end-customers. Ensure all service changes and improvements are implemented in the field.
- Develop and utilize well-defined and proven approaches to analyze and solve problems. Analyze and manage risk to minimize customer impact.
- Provide technical sales support for sales managers. Support sales for post-selling service and participate in sales activities.
Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Alternatively, a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in a service department or a related field.
- Significant experience in transport refrigeration, mechanics, electrics, HVAC, or a related business environment.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages such as Portuguese, French, and Arabic is advantageous.
- Commercial skills are required.
