Where is the work:
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week in Davidson, NC.
What you will do:
- Collaboration: Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality;
- Partner with business unit Procurement teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed; Support region/sector New Product Development (NPD) Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs.
- Negotiations: Support negotiations and supplier selection; accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance.
- Cost Management: Responsible for delivering category productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.
- Supplier Management: Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within category; Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.
- Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience.
- Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills.
- Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.
Compensation: $70,000- $90,000
