Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Tech Lead – DevOps & CloudOps. In this pivotal role, you will design and implement the cloud infrastructure for Trane and Thermo King digital products. As a lead DevOps engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Product Architect & Development team to build a robust and resilient cloud infrastructure that meet the required performance, scalability and security specifications for our global customers. The cloud infrastructure will be the digital fabric for all our digital products to integrate seamlessly.

Where is the work:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 or more days each week based out of Chennai.
What will you do:
In this role you will:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for AWS serverless applications using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and GitLab CI.
- Automate provisioning of serverless infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation, SAM, Terraform, or CDK.
- Configure and optimize API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3 integrations.
- Develop custom deployment logic using Python, Node.js, or Bash.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and tracing for distributed serverless apps using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and structured logs.
- Enforce IAM security best practices, including fine-grained permissions and least-privilege role policies.
- Support blue/green and canary deployments for Lambda with rollback strategies.
Collaborate with developers to streamline DevOps workflows and resolve deployment issues
What you will bring:
- 7+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineer experience, with at least 2 years in AWS serverless stack.
- Experience with Hybrid cloud is highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Amplify, Step Functions, EventBridge, or SNS/SQS
- IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation or Terraform
- CI/CD tools: GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Ansible
- AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Amplify, Step Functions, EventBridge, or SNS/SQS
- Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices in AWS.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and tracing tools such as:
- Amazon CloudWatch Logs, Metrics, Dashboards, X-Ray
- Amazon CloudWatch Logs, Metrics, Dashboards, X-Ray
- Proficiency in scripting with Python, Node.js, or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Familiarity with deployment frameworks: AWS SAM, Serverless Framework, or CDK.
- Exposure to frontend + backend full-stack deployments via Amplify or CloudFront + S3
