Base Compensation Range: $65,000 - $71,000 annually.

***Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, experience, geographic location where the work is performed, etc.

 

This role has been designated as Hybrid – Flex for your day.  While most work must be done on-site, there is flexibility to work remotely when workflow and priorities allow.*The Company reserves the right to modify this designation should business needs require. 


Job Summary:
Trane has a new exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Billing Specialist supporting our Service group for our Portland, OR or Seattle, WA region. 

Responsibilities: 
Under direct supervision, the Service Billing Specialist is responsible for routine project documentation, materials, job costing, status monitoring, invoicing, and administrative closeout of each project.  This position is required to closely interact with the Admin Team Leader, Area Service Managers, and assigned service team members to ensure the timely completion of each project. 
  • Review Billing Backlog daily and processes service invoices. 
  • Sets-up warranty agreements in system application.
  • Coordinates with various team members for accurate and timely recording of project costs, including materials, time sheets, labor hour allocation, daily reports, etc.
  • Responsible for general administrative functions to include processing service claims – concessions, Ship Product Defect (SPD), retrofit, labor warranty, purchase orders, and initiating invoicing.  
  • Responsible for generating, interpreting, and printing various assigned reports.
  • Communicates effectively with other team members.
  • Communicates with Account Managers, Field Technicians, Customers and Trane claims as necessary to resolve obstacles or answer inquiries regarding billing.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of related billing experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Must have strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.
