Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced and visionary Business Development Leader to spearhead strategic initiatives and drive business development within the Trane Rental Services division. Preferred experience in the Hi-Tech Manufacturing & Data Center markets.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, identifying, and capitalizing on new business opportunities, and fostering collaborative partnerships to accelerate the growth and success of Trane Rental Services.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Profitable Growth and meet or exceed Revenue Targets for strategic initiatives and markets.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities to expand the customer base and revenue channels.
- Build and foster strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance the market position and profitability of Trane Rental Services.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for Trane Rental Services, aligning with organizational goals and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units within Trane Technologies to leverage synergies and explore cross-selling opportunities.
- Drive the development of innovative sales and marketing programs to create awareness and demand for Trane Rental Services.
- Develop and implement effective sales enablement initiatives, including training programs and tools, to empower the sales team and enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, sales, and strategic planning, preferably within the HVAC or rental services industry.
- Preferred experience in the Hi-Tech Manufacturing & Data Center Vertical Markets.
- Proven track record in developing and executing go-to-market strategies and driving successful business outcomes.
- Strong business acumen and market understanding; ability to identify market trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, customers, and industry players.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, sales productivity tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to support customer meetings and strategic initiatives.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $150,000-160,000 annually.
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
