Business Unit Manager (BUM)

Directs and coordinates business unit activities in processing materials or manufacturing products meeting customer requirements.  Develops attainment of the business plan through setting business unit goals and strategies in line with corporate strategies.

Where is the work:
This position is based out Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

 

What you will do:

 

Plan, guide and direct the operations of Business Unit in order to achieve growth, safety, quality, profitability, delivery on-time performance, inventory management, Operational Excellence, LEAN Manufacturing and customer satisfaction goals.

 

Support, maintain and improve team-based organization structures, to enhance career development for direct reports and plant associates ensuring the effective utilization of human resources.

 

Ensure high quality products and assembly processes within Business Unit, low cost product delivered on time as required, according to ISO requirements.

 

Direct the operations in a safe, effective and environmentally responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and guideline.

 

Model the Trane Technologies Way through demonstration of the Trane Technologies Leadership competencies, principles and Values.

 

Assures employees are consistently being trained and developed so that talent is retained and succession plans remove gaps in bench strength

 

Create an employee culture that is supportive of the establishment of a world class Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System.

 

SIOP & PSI reviews, product specifications and scheduled delivery dates in order to evaluate operational resources and capacity planning.

 

What you will bring

Engineering Degree                                                             

10 years in Operations and Management / Leadership roles.                                                          

Demonstrated leadership ability, team-oriented with strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong planning, problem analysis and resolution, and organizational skills                                                              

Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools a plus; Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred. Materials and production control, quality assurance, plant EHS procedures.                                                                

Financial controls and strategic planning, new product start up, plant transformation and strong knowledge of change management.
