A Cold Store & Chiller Rental Sales Engineer promotes and sells container cold storage and chiller rental solutions to potential customers. The aim of the role is to generate new business opportunities, build trusting customer relationships, achieve sales targets and maximize account share by delivering technical solutions to the customers base on their needs and cold storage & Trane rental offer.
This role requires a strong technical background in refrigeration systems and a solid understanding of the container cold storage and chiller industry. The primary objective is to generate new business opportunities, build customer relationships, and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target potential customers in various industries requiring container cold storage and chiller solutions.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, regularly updating the CRM system with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support sales efforts.
- Collaborate with the company’s entire sales force to work effectively to increase productivity.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of container cold storage and chiller systems, including refrigeration units, insulation, temperature control, and related equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers, helping them select the most suitable system solutions based on their specific requirements.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate customer needs, ensuring accurate and efficient container cold storage & Trane rental solutions are proposed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and customize container cold storage solutions based on customer specifications.
- Collaborate with rental coordinator, sales engineers from other channels, and service technicians. Manage the leads received from other departments.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Encourage customer growth and loyalty through continuous support and customer assistance, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
- Understand customer needs and provide timely and effective solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct regular follow-up with customers to ensure their ongoing needs are met and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Provide after-sales support, including troubleshooting, maintenance advice, and coordination with the technical team.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the management team to enhance sales strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Properly maintain and timely update all internal systems, RMT (Rental Management Tool) including customer database, opportunity pipeline, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
- Strong communication and influencing skills, along with high integrity and capacity to deal with changing priorities.
- Communicative level of English is a must.
- Well-organized and able to handle several different projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the container cold storage or refrigeration industry.
- Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems and container cold storage solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers.
- Ability to understand customer needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Active driving license.
- Ability to work with different departments, collaboratively.
