Job Summary：
The Controls Hardware Intern will be working on a motivated global team to develop real-time embedded controls for both HVAC Equipment and Equipment Integration into Building, Campus, and Enterprise-Wide Automation Systems.
- Analyze, design, implement, test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for electronic industrial HVAC controls.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (UL, IEC, EMC, ESD, EFT)
- Integrate software & hardware - test & verify system functionality.
- Help advance hardware development tools, technology, and processes.
- Estimate tasks, generate schedules, and deliver on commitments
- Follow established Trane product development procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or a related major
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge in control systems using embedded microprocessors
- Knowledge in development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
- Circuit analysis and printed circuit board design
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems (Linux OS) and networking
- Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function in a location diverse team environment
