Job Summary
The Controls Hardware Intern will be working on a motivated global team to develop real-time embedded controls for both HVAC Equipment and Equipment Integration into Building, Campus, and Enterprise-Wide Automation Systems. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze, design, implement, test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for electronic industrial HVAC controls.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (UL, IEC, EMC, ESD, EFT)
  • Integrate software & hardware - test & verify system functionality.
  • Help advance hardware development tools, technology, and processes.
  • Estimate tasks, generate schedules, and deliver on commitments
  • Follow established Trane product development procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or a related major

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge in control systems using embedded microprocessors
  • Knowledge in development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
  • Circuit analysis and printed circuit board design
  • Familiarity with embedded operating systems (Linux OS) and networking
  • Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function in a location diverse team environment
