Job Summary:
Trane is hiring a Controls Sales Leader - PNW to join our team. In this role, you will function as the controls sales leader for business sold through the Controls revenue streams in the following area offices: ID, UT, WA, OR & AK. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with contractors, consulting engineer/architect and Owner accounts. Sales constitute all the processes and functions required for obtaining inside/outside sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute on a vision and strategy for our controls business in the designated area working with the Regional Digital Services & Controls Sales Leader.
- Lead performance excellence by coaching and mentoring Account Managers on effectiveness and efficiency relating to project attainments, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability.
- Responsible for achieving/exceeding annual objectives regarding profit, volume, growth, and business mix.
- Overall responsibility for the following functions: customer and area sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, setting quotas, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
- Responsible for promoting all Trane Systems linkage Programs: including Digital Service Agreements and when appropriate Connected Mechanical an Autonomous Controls agreements.
- Assemble high performance teams and interact with Account Managers with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios.
- Manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching Account Managers’ effectiveness and efficiency in relation to project attainments, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.
- Travel to area offices up to 50%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industry-related sales experience and two (2) years of experience in a sales leadership capacity strongly preferred.
- Strong sales experience in Building Automation Systems and experience with HVAC Controls is required.
- Strong acumen in prospecting and new customer attainment
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
