Cycle Counter
Position Description
§ The Cycle Counter under general supervision, will maintain data and record integrity of the cycle count program, and use standard problem solving to eliminate non-conformance to all established metrics.
§ Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.
Essential Job Functions
§ Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
§ Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
§ Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
§ Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
§ Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
§ Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
§ Remove excess items, or return them to warehouse.
§ Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
§ Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them as necessary.
§ Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel about part descriptions and building material.
§ Use computers for various applications, such as database management, administrative work, or word processing.
§ Determine root cause of material inventory discrepancies using OpEx tools and formal Basic Problem Solving.
§ Key contributor and team leader prior to and during Annual Physical Inventory
§ Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives
§ Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements
§ Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement
Education, Experience & Skills
§ High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree required.
§ Previous experience in physical distribution (warehouse/shipping) preferred.
§ Previous Material Handling experience preferred.
§ Strong Communication Skills.
§ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
§ Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
§ Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details.
§ Strong Customer service skills.
§ Proven Team Player.
§ Identifying basic problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
§ Ability to perform mental calculations of basic arithmetic. Must be able to convert pounds to pieces, etc., as well as identify box quantities. Must be able to read a ruler, vernier caliber, and scale, as well as use a digital scale.
§ Ability to utilize data base user interface and query software for data entry.

Physical Requirements
§ Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone. Mobility within the work facility.
§ Ability to lift 30 lbs.
