Where is the work:
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
- Develop and lead a strategic vision for data architecture and governance, ensuring alignment with Supply Chain teams and broader organizational objectives.
- Engage with leadership to advocate for projects, investments, and resources necessary for scaling data initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across IT, business units, supply chain teams, master data management, and external partners to drive a cohesive data strategy.
- Act as a key advisor to business leaders on data governance and architecture best practices, providing strategic guidance to influence decision-making (aligned with corporate governance).
- Lead a cross-functional team of data architects, data stewards, and governance specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor team members, providing professional growth opportunities and building a talent pipeline for future leadership roles.
- Champion data governance adoption through structured change management initiatives, ensuring alignment across various functions and driving organization-wide adoption.
- Ensure all relevant data security protocols and controls are enforced to protect sensitive data.
- Facilitate training programs and workshops for business leaders and teams, enhancing the organization’s understanding and commitment to data governance principles.
- Develop and implement KPIs to measure the effectiveness of data architecture and governance initiatives, regularly reporting performance to leadership.
- Use data insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives and proactively address challenges.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, partner with corporate data strategy team to evaluate and integrate new tools and frameworks that could enhance the data architecture and governance landscape.
- Drive innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning) that can elevate data capabilities.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional data teams, with a track record of delivering strategic initiatives and driving business transformation
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex data projects, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day execution, and effectively managing through change
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, star and snowflake schemas, data modelling, and semantic layers.
- Proficiency in Oracle's procedural extension to SQL, including writing stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
- Cloud-based architecture and technologies (e.g. GCP, AWS etc.), certifications in cloud native skills are desirable
- Certifications in data management or architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA)
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 91,000-$175,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
