Where is the work:
What you will do:
- Utilize Boolean logic to drive parametric CAD models using proprietary Trane Technologies software
- Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices
- Work from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches
- Complete assignments and detect and correct own errors.
- Maintain competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company-provided training and materials
- Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
- Review orders to ensure they are error free prior to being built in the shop
- Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes
- Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors.
- Must be customer driven, innovative and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.
- Develop and exercise good communication skills.
- Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
What you will bring:
- Associates degree or 4+ years of experience using computer aided graphic solutions in lieu of degree
- Experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, or ProEngineer
- Programming experience a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Must understand basic principles of designing equipment, drafting, and computer-aided design and apply principles to assigned tasks
- Must be able to function in a technical engineering team environment
- Must have the ability to handle multiple, varied tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to adjust to changing demands, priorities and objectives
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
