Job Summary: 

The Digital Product Manager, eCommerce, is responsible for defining and delivering a world-class eCommerce solution for the HVAC Supply business. As a leader, you are accountable for driving profitable growth and for achieving sustainability objectives in alignment with Trane Technologies’ overall strategy and goals. Additionally, you would be responsible for leading a Digital Product Growth Team (PGT) for our HVAC Supply Business Unit with process excellence through demonstrated leadership. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our Davidson, NC, location.

Where is the work:  

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.  

What you will do: 

  • Develops a strategic vision and framework for HVAC Supply’s eCommerce offerings
  • Manages the eCommerce platform through the entire product lifecycle for all HVAC Supply categories, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, and defining the vision for both enabling digital tools and value-added services.
  • Lead the agile product management process, including participating in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives), creating and approving user stories, prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrates market leadership in crafting eCommerce roadmap.
  • Visits customers and HVAC dealers face-to-face to understand customer needs from their business point of view.
  • Leads interactions with the entirety of the HVAC Supply organization to ensure eCommerce design, quality, reliability, and profitability goals are met. Communicates eCommerce roadmap and plan with Business Unit team; coordinates the plan with functional partners.
  • Coordinates with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement a marketing strategy and plan (including targeted programs and promotions) for each new or updated product/service or extension.
  • Leads interactions with the sales team to review and adjust the distribution strategy for each product/service line based on performance.
  • Advocates the eCommerce strategy roadmap to the broader organization.
  • Develops compelling communication around the value proposition and differentiation to competitive offers and/or alternative solutions.
  • Understands organizational culture and can fully operate across organizational boundaries.
  • Leads the execution of detailed demand planning for eCommerce platform based on input from industry, market, and competitor analyses.
  • Works independently to manage and lead standard management routine activities pertaining to Product Growth Teams, driving all meetings, measuring metrics, conducting analytics, and utilizing an effective visual management system.
  • Applies a Multi Generation Product Plan (MPP) in creating a vision for eCommerce.

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or other technical-related degree
  • Master's of Business Administration degree preferred, but not required
  • 7-10 years overall experience of increasing levels of complexity with a minimum 5 years of leadership experience in product management, sales, eCommerce, or other relevant areas
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching complex product and service/software offerings
  • Must have a strong technical aptitude and the ability to work across different functions
  • Strong financial acumen is required
  • Excellent organization skills and flexibility to handle a variety of time-sensitive tasks and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and provide effective support on a broad range of activities requiring attention to detail
  • Solid analytical and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the HVAC Supply business and eCommerce industry preferred, but not required

Compensation:    

Base Pay Range: $140,000 - 180,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
