Designer II plays a pivotal role in creating visually stunning 3D and 2D graphics for control projects submitted by our field offices. By leveraging their expertise in digital tools, they help bring our projects to life. While reporting to a Lead Digital Designer, they may also have the opportunity to work within a dynamic sub team led by a Senior Digital Designer.
Where is the work:
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
- Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
- Documentation of parts and bills of materials
- Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processes
- Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings and sketches.
- Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors.
- Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.
- Must be customer driven, innovative and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.
- Develop and exercise good communication skills.
- Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
- Receives generalized information and instruction pertaining to assignment from engineers or senior staff. Work direction, content and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members.
What you will bring:
- Associate’s Degree (AA) in related engineering discipline. 4+ years of experience using computer aided graphic solutions in lieu of degree.
- Experience in SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or ProEngineer
- Experience with CAD, AutoCAD
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
Base Pay Range: Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
