Electrical Development & System Engineer (f/m/d)

Location: Essen, Germany 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design electrical and functional systems for electrical transport refrigeration systems.

  • Specify and validate high-voltage refrigeration systems on electrically powered vehicles in both laboratory settings and at customer or truck manufacturer facilities.

  • Analyze and evaluate electrotechnical tests on components, prototypes, and problematic systems.

  • Plan, perform, and support specific measurements for product release (CE, ECE R10, ECE R100, etc.).

  • Coordinate projects with international development teams and external consultants.

  • Collaborate closely with local production and in-house workshops in the development of new cooling machines.

Requirements: 

  • Degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power electronics.

  • More than 4 years of professional experience in an industrial company.

  • Specialist knowledge of vehicle electronics, HV battery systems, and bus systems is advantageous.

  • Independent and structured working style with strong technical analysis skills.

  • Experience in preparing circuit diagrams and specifying electrical components.

  • Knowledge of CAN-Communication and software architecture is a plus.

  • Qualification for working on vehicles with high-voltage systems in accordance with DGUV Information 209-093 (ECE R100) is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with tools like CREO (Schematics), ORACLE, and WINDCHILL is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • High motivation, initiative, and the ability to work effectively in an independent team.
