As an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, you would play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining the Americas Environmental Safety and Health program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by assisting the EHS Americas team in implementing innovative loss control and accident prevention activities. You will help ensure compliance with company, local, state, provincial, and national regulations, while also contributing to the development and execution of cutting-edge safety programs, strategies, policies, training, and procedures.
As a key player in our team, you will work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Sr. Leader, Process & Programs, and the Americas EHS Director to establish and maintain a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment at both the office and field levels by promoting wellness and security initiatives that enhance employee safety and well-being while performing their work.

What you will do:
In this role you will:
- Assist in implementation and coordination of EHS standard work and safety process efforts for the Americas, as assigned, including but not limited to the EHS Benchmark-Gensuite operating system, development and execution of EHS communications, safety vendor program management, timely processing of safety and environmental invoices and purchase requisitions, etc.
- Manage OSHA logs, EHS programs, historical metrics, and regulatory compliance responses at the Americas level in support of customer safety performance requests, including maintaining compliance with 3rd party EHS validation services (e.g., Avetta, ISN, Appruv), and potential marketing communications.
- Assist in maintaining the EHS SharePoint site and promoting its use. Complete annual data review, ensure document consistency and manage record retention for all EHS data striving to ensure all safety related records are accurately maintained and in compliance with OSHA, Canadian Health and Safety Board, or other regulatory agency rules, regulations and Enterprise procedures.
- Organize, run, and analyze monthly EHS data reports using Benchmark-Gensuite, Tableau, and other data systems. Ensure compliance and drive continual improvement by collecting, inputting, and analyzing EHS data. Utilize Benchmark-Gensuite to assign and monitor inspections, concerns, near miss reports, and Action Tracking System items, generating reports as needed.
- Participate and assist with organization, documentation, action item completion, driving consistency, and promoting active participation on multiple safety committees at the Enterprise, Americas, and regional levels assisting in the development of safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with management of online EHS training program including responding to learner support ticket, troubleshooting potential course and assignment errors, collecting feedback related to training improvements.
- Scribe during meetings related to the investigation of injuries, illnesses, and significant events, ensuring process consistency, documentation, record retention, and tracking of corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Assist with overseeing the administration of workers' compensation program, including tracking claims with the insurance carrier vs. injury/illness records documented in Benchmark-Gensuite.
- Consider the future goals and current needs of the department and make data informed decisions.
What you will bring:
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft 365 Applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Lists, etc.) and Adobe PDF.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a detail-oriented team environment.
- Knowledge of EHS data management systems (i.e., Benchmark-Gensuite), Tableau, 3rd party contractor qualification systems (e.g., Appruv, Avetta, ISNetworld, etc.), and Learning Management Systems is a plus.
- General knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MSHA, DOT, and Canada Health & Safety Board regulations, as regionally appropriate, with a willingness to obtain a working knowledge of the Regional and company safety culture. This includes understanding OSHA, provincial, state, and other safety regulatory agencies, worker’s compensation, hazard recognition and mitigation, and the interpretation of state and local safety guidelines as they apply to the business and assigned job duties.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English required, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. The individual must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentations and design training modules. Bi-lingual skills are an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt well to face-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction and strategy.

Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure:
- Must be able to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seat belt.
- Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, and safety boots to safely perform job duties.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
- DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
- Occasional travel may be required in support of safety campaigns, training programs/ conferences, customer events, safety day events, etc.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $48,000 – $83,000 Annually
