Equipment Business Developer

Location: Emilia Romagna / Veneto / Friuli Venezia Giulia / Trentino Alto Adige / Toscana

 

Job Summary:

Our Trane office in Padova is hiring an Equipment Business Developer, System Sales to join our team.  In this role you will be responsible for developing customer relationships while increasing market share and customer retention.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide product knowledge and support in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for our customers (e.g. Design Engineers and Installers) including performance-based considerations. 
  • Provide product training to sales agencies
  • Consistently ascertain customer needs and current market opportunities. 
  • Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required sales team members and communicating next steps in the process.
  • Develop and execute an account specific business plan to identify long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable, and successful partnership. 
  • Assist customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane Products, and relevant industry issues
  • Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include mechanical/equipment rooms site visits

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with elements of thermodynamics
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within HVAC industry
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems
  • You are able to influence and persuade others and have strong presentation skills
  • You are an active listener
  • You are an independent worker, stimulated by new challenges, with a passion for learning.
  • You have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is a must.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of your time will be essential to this position.
