Facilities Controls Technician II
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair the following devices and systems:
- Fieldbus devices and systems
- Sensors
- Relay logic
- Motion control systems
- Instrumentation and process controls
- AC and DC motors, controls, and drives
- Safety systems
- Perform programming, basic design, and troubleshooting of the following devices and systems:
- Programmable logic controller (PLC’s)
- Human machine interface (HMI’s)
- Variable frequency drives (VFD’s)
- Motion control systems
- Instrumentation and process controls
- Study blueprints, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation or system modification procedures.
- Identify, specify, and order parts for new installation or replacement.
- Assist in the development of detailed design documents, functional requirement specifications, and lab or test processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in electromechanical technology or related technical discipline and at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience may be substituted for the degree requirement with 7+ years of relevant technical rigor.
- Experience working with PLC’s and supporting controls devices required, Allen-Bradley preferred.
- Ability to read, create, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals required, Autodesk preferred.
- Strong industrial electronics and mechanical background required, HVAC experience preferred.
Additional Comments:
- May frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with provided machinery and personnel.
- Up to 20% overnight travel required during the first year for training. Less than 10% travel subsequent.
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
Base Compensation Range is $60,000 - $80,000.
