Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Finance & Task Compliance Operations Leader for Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial and tax compliance operations within the country, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with local and USGAAP regulations and company standards. You’ll be reporting to EMEA Regional Leader.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Review accounting entries in the corporate and statutory ledger.

·         Ensure timely month-end close processes.

·         Maintain strong relationships and collaborate with business teams and relevant   

          departments.

·         Develop and maintain internal controls according to company policies, ensuring

          continuous compliance with country-specific and corporate financial policies.

·         Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliation reviews.

·         Manage statutory accounts and coordinate external audits.

·         Prepare environmental taxes (Refrigerants and Plastic).

·         Calculate income tax returns, including annual and quarterly prepayments.

·         Handle Spanish bank reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually).

·         Support and/or lead project management for process improvements using Lean

          methodology.

 

You will interact with:

·         Members of the accounting team and management controllers. 

·         Accounting services from other countries (Ireland, India, Italy) in English.

·         Various administrative, production services, SOX auditors, or tax administration

          occasionally.

·         Occasional relations with SOX or internal auditors.

·         Statutory auditors and financial consultants.

 

What we are looking for:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minimum experience of 5 to 10 years.

·         Fluent in English (both conversational and written).

·         Experience within US companies is highly desirable.

·         Proficient in Excel and reporting software. Knowledge of ERP software, particularly

          ORACLE, is desirable.
