Grinder (1st shift)
Grinder (Disassembler)
Essential Functions: Load, unload, inspect, clean and pre-treat parts and assemblies in the paint area. Grind frames to print in the grinding room.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
Certifications: Forklift, if necessary
Quality Metric:
- Scrap Dollars
- Rejected or reworked ground parts
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass respiratory physical
Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process
- Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)
- Demonstrate ability to set up and run basic operations in specific department(s) with assistance.
- Demonstrate ability to make minor adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment, with assistance.
- Able to properly inspect, load and unload the paint system (racks, trees, chain spacing, etc)
- Able to properly prepare parts for the paint system (sanding, plugging, eye bolts, etc)
- Able to inspect frames for pinholes, missing welds, etc.
- Understand and follow the work instructions and quality standards for the department
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements of the department.
- Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, windchill, Kanban and TKS’s).
