Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the business through repairs and improvements to the building and grounds. Maintenance items can include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and special projects. The role is also responsible for performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to emergency repairs to ensure the facility operates smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair equipment and tools as needed and per the PM schedule
- Provide support to other departments as required
- Assist with preventive maintenance and facility inspections
- Attend trainings as required
- Maintain safe working practices and follow company safety policies and procedures
- Performing regular inspections on building systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, fire alarms and fire pump automatic doors and report findings to the Facilities Manager
- Maintaining records and preparing reports on maintenance activities.
- Monitor facility for possible safety violations, health concerns and environmental compliance
- Contacting and managing outside contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance services

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facility maintenance.
- Ability to work at elevated heights requiring fall protection
- Able to bend, carry, climb, lift, push, pull
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (I.e., forklifts, floor machines, etc.)
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Able to work flexible hours including on call shifts and emergencies.
Education, Experience & Skills
- High School Diploma required or GED equivalent required.
- Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or equivalent preferred.
- 2+ plus years of experience in Maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Basic electrical skills.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic/pneumatic systems desirable.
- Self-starter and motivated to maintain building/machines to 100% uptime via strong preventative activities.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Sit or stand for 8-10 hours.
- May need to be on your feet for extended periods around the facility
- Wear proper PPE
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as required to work with equipment
