In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As a Manager – Engineering Design, you will collaborate closely with the design & cross-functional teams globally to build industry-relevant products that meet required specifications for our global customers. Where is the work:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Bangalore.
What you will do:
- Inspire, engage and lead a team of engineers managing quality, on time delivery, cost, milestones, engineering processes, productivity projects and innovation.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing engineering, suppliers, quality, and operations, in each of their deliverables.
- Complete Project coordination with Project partners, Cross functional Managers. Complete Understanding of tools and technologies used in Engineering Design. Performs Design reviews and mentors Design Engineers. Consistently delivers high-quality Design deliverables.
- Manage a large team of engineers while handling their annual objectives, performance management, growth and development, employee engagement and talent review process.
- Demonstrable leadership skills, professional and positive approach, diligent with attention to detail, team player and able to work on own initiative, assertive, adaptable, creative and a willingness to go the extra mile when required.
What you will bring:
- Hands on exp in engineering design while working on NPD, VAVE, Design automation, Productivity and QNR projects
- Hands on exp working on product design software's such as Creo, SolidWorks.
- Hands on exp working on PLM processes and tools such as Windchill.
- Someone with a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies wrt Engineering design and help in designing strategies for future road map.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken and skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Good to have - Hands on experience and working knowledge with Mechanical Engineering Design while Integrating advanced capabilities such as MBD - Model-based definition with hands on working knowledge of PMI – Product manufacturing information, complete understanding of automating workflows and reducing manual work and re-work.
- Good to have - Working knowledge in advanced areas such Pro-programming, AI Driven Generative design, Design for Additive manufacturing, AR Collaboration, IOT driven design.
- A mechanical engineer background with 13+ years of experience in the field of engineering which includes at least 5+ years of people management experience.
