Manufacturing Electrical Test Engineer III
Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Electrical Test Engineer III in Pueblo, CO. This role is responsible for technical support of processes related to the testing of HVAC chillers. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes, and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

This position has been designated as onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
- Develop lean manufacturing plans, tooling and equipment requirements and costs, capability, control plans, and safety assessments, to meet the specifications for manufacturing processes.
- Drive engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training, and project reviews including: Yamazumi, PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management, and Simultaneous Engineering.
- Ensure all equipment, processes, and systems meet regulatory agency and company compliant safety regulations.
- Work with and lead cross functional teams to manage, develop, and implement improved testing standards and process automation, which includes equipment reliability, capability and capacity, as well as mistake-proofing, SMED, and operator interfaces to enhance manufacturability and quality controls.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise to quickly resolve manufacturing process and product design problems using standard problem-solving tools, processes, and resources.
Qualifications:
- BS Engineering or Engineering Technologies degree required
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Project leadership and team building skills required
- Knowledge of basic design and lean manufacturing
- Understanding of control system design and coding
- Initiative to further develop technical skills, interpersonal skills, and career path
- Strong work ethic, great attitude, customer-focused, team-oriented and results driven
