Job Summary:
Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Grand Rapid, MI. In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

Where is the work:
This position has been designated as onsite and designated as safety sensitive.
What you will do:
- Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
- Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
- Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
- Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
- Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
- Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
- Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
What you will bring:
- Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and PFMEA experience
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.

Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000
