Material Handler 2nd Shift
Job Summary:
This role supports Helmer Scientific, part of Trane Technologies Life Sciences Portfolio. Helmer Scientific designs, integrates, manufactures, markets, and distributes specialized medical and laboratory equipment to clinical and life science customers in over 125 countries, as well as provide after-market service and support.This role has been designated by the company as Safety Sensitive.
Responsibilities:
The Material Handler:
- Promotes Helmer values as demonstrated in personal productivity and quality of work, management of internal/external relationships, actively seeking out and participating in Continuous Improvement practices, and willingness to engage and support team initiatives.
- Comply with workplace safety procedure.
- Maintain inventory identification and locations. Correct and transfer items in the MRP system. Label and move received items to assigned inventory locations. Label and move rejected items to the non-conforming area in receiving.
- Use restocking list or answer production request to deliver items to the production line. Inspect product to ensure they are correct before delivering to production.
- Maintain open communication with team members. Work to help other team members as needed.
- Complete material/inventory investigations to ensure accurate physical and system representation.
- Maintain and complete Standard Work and documentation to track task accomplishment.
Relative Work Experience: 1-3 years related experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Certifications / Licenses: Holds valid driver’s license.
Computer Systems / Software: MRP/ERP (Fourthshift) preferred. Data entry and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.
Specialized Training: Must successfully complete Helmer Forklift training

- Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly on own.
Base compensation $19/HR
