Material Handler
Essential Functions:
Receive, store and issue parts to production
Certifications:
- Forklift (Will certify inhouse)
Minimum Qualifications
- Forklift Certification (If not certified, must be able to achieve certification within 30 days)
- Attention to detail
- Strong Communication Skills
- Teamwork
- Oracle experience
- Inventory experience
- Understanding of Warehouse operations
Primary focus is learning the process
- Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)
- Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals
- Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace
- Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement
- Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible
- Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems
- Follows rules of conduct at all times
- Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work
- Able to navigate in Oracle with computer and scanner, as required
- Able to prepare/pull material for delivery to assembly areas
- Able to understand what RIP is and it’s locations, as well as deliver parts to correct sites
- Able to learn the warehouse locater system
- Able to operate a forklift within the stockroom and assembly lines
- Able to understand cycle-count procedures and address discrepancies
- Able to understand and interpret production schedules, sequence sheets and WIP tickets
- Able to understand impact position has on plant metrics (MPS, OTD, inventory levels, potential overtime)
Issuing/Putting Away Parts:
- Kanban process for move order traveler
- De-Trashing operation
- Yellow card process
