OpEx Lean Technician Farrar
Job Summary:
OpEx Technicians are critical to maturing Helmer’s continuous improvement culture and fully embrace and support all continuous improvement efforts. Opex Techs further exemplify the goodness of Helmer’s workforce and are considered Lean ambassadors and Continuous Improvement stewards.
OpEx Technicians will be required to follow daily standard work which includes:
- Time Studies, various audits and updating playbook documents
- Completing pre and post Rapid Improvement Event tasks
- Participating in and facilitating Rapid Improvement Events
- Leading assigned projects, conducting new hire orientation and training for new hires
- Accountable for completing all tasks in a timely manner
- Able to work without supervision
- Be comfortable providing individual and group Lean training in all areas of the plant
- Be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
Key Competencies:
This role is expected to complete the following training as well as train others in:
- Lean Leader Maturity Matrix and Leader Standard Work
- Introduction to Lean and 9 Step Basic Problem Solving
- Culture Maturity Assessment (CMA)
- Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) boards
- Visual management, Standard Work & how to perform detailed audits
- Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Just Do Its (JDI) and 5S
- Team Leader Development Program when offered
- Public Speaking
