Job Summary:
The position of a Point Mapping Specialist serves as a member of Trane’s Energy Services’ Point Mapping team, supporting Trane field offices with data graphical mapping for BAS equipment. This position is responsible for producing graphical point mapping for a wide range of HVAC airside, waterside, and floor plan graphics.

This is a Remote position.
Responsibilites:
- Complete point mapping projects:
- Creating graphical point mapping of AHU’s, Hydronic Systems, and Floor Plans
- Applying knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Reviewing quotes, customer requests, and project-specific documentation
- Reviewing equipment submittals, control submittals, and mechanical drawings for incorporation into graphics
- Writing and requesting information or project concerns to Graphics Project Leads or Trane sales offices as required
- Working independently with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attending project meetings and demonstrating effective communication to all stakeholders
- Completing self-reviews and peer reviews as needed
- Delivering all projects in a timely manner according to the schedule
- Addressing any errors or remapping as needed
- Creating graphical point mapping of AHU’s, Hydronic Systems, and Floor Plans
- Team coordination:
- Working closely with Graphics Project Leads to maintain on-time delivery of finished product.
- Identifying or disclosing any concerns constituting a delay in project delivery to applicable team members
- Demonstrating the ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.
- Demonstrating effective English oral and written skills to communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Maintaining customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, communication with team members, and following up on customer feedback.

- Read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, or other documents
- Draft reports and business correspondence
- Effectively analyze, conclude, and present information to team members
- Complete tasks in a timely manner
- Produce high-quality work and/or services in a fast-paced environment
- Communication Skills:
- Demonstrated high-level English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Ability to effectively draft reports, business correspondence, present information and respond to questions from customers and service personnel.
- Familiarity with reading, analyzing, and interpreting plans, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, and electrical schematics is preferred.
- Demonstrated high-level English proficiency (spoken and written).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study preferred; entry-level position with no required experience; or equivalent combination of education and basic experience in the Controls field or engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Trane Software tools.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Familiarity with the concepts of new construction and renovation/retrofit project types are preferred.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000
Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
