Thermo King has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer – Refrigeration Technologies! Where is the work:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Minneapolis, MN.

 

What you will do: 

  • Lead and contribute to projects to develop advanced transport refrigeration systems and component technologies
  • Collaborate in the modeling of refrigeration systems and components – evaluate system performance for various architectures and refrigerants
  • Advance modeling capabilities for compressors and systems to improve performance predictions
  • Act as a subject matter expert in refrigeration systems and next generation refrigerants – leading, advising and participating on system technology and product development programs
  • Research and apply advanced technologies to drive step-changes in product performance, customer value, and sustainability
  • Drive the development and test of technologies for compressors, refrigerants, and systems.
  • Formulate approaches that balance system performance, safety, and cost, while navigating the landscape of regulations, codes & standards
  • Collaborate with compressor suppliers and internal product teams to develop compression solutions for new products
  • Interface with external organizations to keep abreast of industry trends, codes and standards, and collaborate in research – acting as ambassador for the company
  • Effectively connect solutions and technologies to market needs and business strategies
  • Distill complex technical data into meaningful conclusions actionable insights
  • Prepare complete schedules and presentations/reports for assigned projects
  • Ability to travel both domestically and abroad. Potential travel up to 10%

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in engineering
  • Experience in HVAC/R

 

Compensation: 

Annual base compensation: $130,400 – 189,500

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
