Job Summary:
The Product Development Engineer, VAVE & Quality is part of a team of engineers to support VAVE and Quality needs for the Furnace and Packaged product portfolios of the Residential HVAC business. Specifically, the candidate will be part of a team that develops and maintains a pipeline of productivity projects, supporting the needs of RHVAC manufacturing facilities daily and driving projects to improve the already excellent quality of Trane Technologies product.

Where is the work:
- This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. Location: Tyler, Texas
What you will do:
- Participation as an active member of the Furnace and Packaged Product VAVE and Quality Team.
- Complete quality improvement, sustaining, and cost reduction projects to meet project quality, delivery and cost (QDC) targets.
- Work and coordinate VAVE projects with our Trane Technologies Engineering Technical Centers
- Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA’s) and Internal Design Reviews (IDR’s) for assigned projects.
- Direct the testing of required engineering samples for evaluation and validation of needed changes.
- Coordinate Agency compliance testing and listings (UL, CSA, ETL).
- Engineering data/unit attribute creation.
- Support manufacturing in resolving design related assembly and manufacturing issues.
- Work with design engineers to develop accurate models for analysis using Pro/ENGINEER.
- Scoping and reviewing CFD and FEA analysis.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Three years Product development and/or Manufacturing and Productivity experience is a plus.
- Combustion, Refrigeration, HVAC system design or related experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Demonstrates innovation & initiative approach at work, ability to develop new methods and approaches.

- Aptitude for mechanical/electrical design, development and testing.
- Results-oriented individual with an emphasis placed on achieving overall team performance.

Compensation:
Base pay range: 75,000-120,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
