Where is the work:
From Monday to Thursday, work On-site with your colleagues. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.
This Product Engineer II is responsible for the creation of custom Air-Handling Unit submittals based on customer order specifications, project schedules, and job quotations. This Engineer must have the technical expertise to develop and lead product design projects, supervise product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality and reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards, and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering practices.
What you will do:
Review approved project plans, specifications, and schedules for a varying customer base.
Design custom HVAC systems to meet the customer demand and industry standards.
Manage project scope and bid documentation to identify job specific cost reduction opportunities.
Create submittal packages with the level of detail required by the specific customer. Direct consultation with the customer may be required.
Host coordination meetings between the factory and other stake holders to define a project’s scope and timeline.
Coordinate effectively across disciplines to provide a concise product design. Review submittals processed by others for accuracy.
Provide on-time project deliverables.
Support the development of Risk Assessments, Design Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs).
Participate in Technical Design Reviews to ensure new designs have proper consideration for manufacture/assembly.
Prepare and manage bills of materials for equipment procurement.
Provide engineering support for production. Support includes design drawing reviews, quality audit checks, and basic problem solving/issue resolution.
Provide scope definition and coordinate air handler performance testing.
Ability to travel domestically up to two weeks at a time. Expected travel time less than 10%.
Support customer visits and witness testing.
Provide feedback to identify opportunities for process efficiency and quality improvements.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 3-years of engineering work experience is required.
HVAC experience is a plus.
Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA is a plus.
Key Competencies:
Proficiency in AutoCad is required.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint).
Understanding of various components used within HVAC systems such as coils, filters, dampers, motors, and fans, piping packages, 3 phase power wiring systems and HVAC control systems.
Organization and project management skills required to balance multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Must be a self-starter with a high energy level and career commitment.
Ability to work as an effective member of a team structure.
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $58,500 - $123,200
