Job Summary:
- This role will successfully lead and execute the strategic objectives to drive energy services and turnkey sales growth as a member of the NA Preconstruction Energy Services Leadership team.
- This role will report to the Director of Preconstruction, Energy Services.
- Responsible for the maturity advancement of our energy services preconstruction/development regional teams in delivering technical and financial complex projects, and lead and direct the implementation and coordination of development deal flow processes and standards across the regions.
- Responsible for achieving world class productivity, deal flow, utilization rates, and safety.
- High degree of creativity to help regions innovate, solve problems, and develop unique solutions that meet client needs and project goals.
- This position will be designated as Remote within a Geography – you can be located within any of the Eastern/Western Commercial HVAC Regions, and travel throughout your assigned regions.

Where is the work:
This position has been designated as remote and work will be performed in Davidson, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy, Mission, Vision:
- Participate in Energy Services strategic planning and leadership across NA to deliver world class sales and solutions to customers.
- Partner with Energy Services Preconstruction Director to ensure alignment of strategy with overall business unit and company strategy.
- Anticipate industry changes and position, reposition strategy to respond to change; stay abreast of external market conditions, tax incentives, rebates, technologies, and internal requirements.
- Project Planning and Development:
- Mentor regions through the preconstruction phase of projects, including initial project assessment, feasibility studies, timelines and risk analysis.
- Coach in developing productive detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Help collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Maturity Advancement:
- Through matrix management, provide leadership, coaching, and oversight for the project development in the comprehensive solutions and turnkey business stream in our regional offices.
- Work with regional energy services and HR leaders to establish required capabilities and staffing levels of the energy services organization and to establish and sustain a healthy pipeline of energy services talent.
- Participate in creation and delivery of training programs for energy services associates.
- Standard Work:
- Accountable for needs identification, development, deployment, and adoption of standard work in the energy services businesses in the regions.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing of effective countermeasures and strategies as standard work across regional offices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project development within the construction/energy services industry with preference for experience in the Municipal, University, Schools and Hospital, aka “MUSH” space.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage/coach multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, PMP, CCM) are a plus.
- Ability to influence others and lead groups to achieve goals with and without direct authority.
- Ability to travel Nationally (up to 50%)
Compensation:
Total Target Compensation: $150K-$250K
Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from incentives.
