About the job:
This Quality Lead - TRACE role will work as part of the Customer Driven Solutions (C.D.S.) Team and collaborate on business needs from a quality assurance (QA) perspective; risk & impact; perform user troubleshooting & provide assistance; test software; innovate & standardize testing processes; prioritize & assess test scenarios for automation; provide ongoing support of key business systems.
The Quality Lead will develop the vision, standards and best practices of the testing of C.D.S. Tools. They will use their technical expertise and skills to organize and orchestrate the fulfillment of QA needs. This person will be a liaison & coordinator between Leadership, Product Owners, Developers, and the QA teams outside of the US. We are looking for a highly motivated, diligent, quality-centric, customer-focused, organized team-player with industry best-practice awareness, vision, goal-setting skills, strong coordination and communication skills and Software Quality Assurance to direct the testing processes for multiple software tools. This role will ensure good communication, appropriate attention to detail, setting of standards, root-cause analysis, smooth hand-offs and timely completion of deliverables while maintaining quality records and metric status reports.
What you will do:
- Developing a Quality Assurance process based on industry best-practices.
- Working with and coordinating between geographically distributed team members, users, and customers.
- Identifying bugs through manual or automated methods.
- Reporting, tracking and determining priority of reported bugs.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for assigned systems.
- Communicating with business users within all levels of the organization.
- Developing and maintaining test plans, manual and automated test scripts, functionality, system and "ad-hoc testing".
- Executing regression tests, functional tests and data tests.
- Documenting, coaching & tracking quality assurance best-practices.
- Developing routine tests and coordinating the testing effort.
- Interfacing with external vendor support service groups.
- Provide technical support to customers (10-20%).
- Limited overnight travel is required.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree and at least 5 years of work experience is required.
- Strong background in productivity software & collaboration tools.
- Ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
- Familiar with WinForms, Blazor, WPF, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
- Experience with Aszure and/or GitHub Testing Pipelines.
- Project management, time management, planning, organizational and analytical skills required.
- Ability to direct projects.
- Self-motivation, willingness to take initiative, ability to function effectively independently and in team-based situations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required with good interpersonal skills, ability to express concepts and ideas with clarity.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance practice as part of the development process.
- Knowledge of all testing methodologies (white vs. black box test work, system vs. functional).
- Solid understanding of quality assurance practice as part of the development process.
- Sound Knowledge of Test and Defect Management tools like ALM and Jira
- Sound Knowledge of testing tools like, Playwright, TestComplete, BUnit.
- Knowledge of writing code, C#, Python, C++, JavaScript.
- Understanding of the software development process.
- Experience with Agile practices is desired.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once and effectively prioritize tasks.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000
