Quality System Technician
Position Summary
Leads Quality Training, managing deviations and oversight of other Quality systems as a Site Admin. Leads internal continuous quality improvement efforts. Reactively conduct investigations of shop floor quality issues. Proactively & systematically plans to prevent quality issues.
Pay Type/Schedule:
· Pay Type: Hourly
· Shift: 1st – 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Manage ETQ program for deviations, CARs, NCMs and other modules.
· Assist Engineers and Leaders with developing and improving process systems.
· Maintain quality system documentation for processes and procedures.
· Control of Qhold functions of Inventory product or materials
· Participate in Quality problem solving activities.
· Lead quality system gap-closing projects, conduct quality management system audits for compliance.
· Collect and statistically analyze data in support of quality initiatives and other projects.
· Conduct process audits based on critical to quality specifications.
· Support in walk-backs/investigation of field quality issues and warranty claims.
· Filling in for Line Quality Tech as needed
· Other tasks and projects assigned.
Key Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required
Proficiency in computer programs required. Must have working knowledge in the use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Oracle.
Associates degree in technical field preferred.
At least one (1) year of quality systems/project experience is preferred.
Quality Technician experience preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year core employment service preferred.
Lean fundamentals or green belt training are considered a plus.
Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives (like Quality, Training, or Safety coordinator) a plus.
Must have demonstrated creativity and solid problem-solving skills.
Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to effectively build relationships with employees at all levels.
Must have excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Must be flexible and able to work all hours including weekends and off shifts.
