Job Summary: 

Trane Technologies is hiring a Rental Operations Leader East .  Trane’s mission is to reduce the energy intensity of the world. To support our mission, this leadership role is responsible for leading our quest towards a world-class rental services provider. The role will be responsible for leading rental operations East in its goal of operational excellence.  Responsible for the performance of the Service area and is accountable for the strategy and achievement of specific budget objectives.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as “remote within a geography”. This requires residing in one of the listed Western states (Illinois, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, California).

 

Scope:

This position is responsible for North American rental operations (currently 6 facilities in US, and growing). The role has 6 direct reports, and a total organization size of 45 associates. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures quality standards of all service operation processes and functions required for execution of work and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma) to deliver increased customer satisfaction and productivity
  • Monitor, measure, and modify process and process measurements to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs and business objectives. 
  • Works with operations team to establish required skill sets, talents, and capabilities. 
  • Works as liaison between business unit/corporate and rental services leadership team to resolve issues. 
  • Manages performance by monitoring service personnel effectiveness and efficiency in relation to customer service and operating plan goals.
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategies to limit risk, improve customer experience, and drive productivity.  
  • Responsible for internal communications flow between service personnel and leadership team.
  • Responsible for administering safety and environmental program in the service area.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. Will consider years of experience in lieu of degree or combination of both.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in leading organization with LEAN/Six Sigma, utilizing problem solving and LEAN methodologies to drive continuous improvement
  • Must have at least 5 years related experience.
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
    • DUI in the previous 3 years
    • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

 

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $114,700 - $180,500

Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
