ReLaunch is our paid “returnship” program for talented Engineers who have temporarily stepped away from their careers and are ready to put their passion back to work. Our program is designed to enable you to rediscover your strengths in a workplace that values your diverse knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. You will be an active, engaged, and valued team member on meaningful projects that push us toward our sustainability goals and help us Challenge Possible.

Next Cohort Start Date: September 19, 2022

Opportunities vary by location, including:

  • REMOTE: engineering project management, HVAC (mechanical) systems engineering
  • Dallas / Tyler, TX: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, embedded software
  • La Crosse, WI: electrical engineering, HVAC or refrigeration systems designers, mechanical engineers/designers, sustaining engineering, embedded & UI software engineers
  • St. Paul, MN: software engineering - UI & embedded; mechanical & electrical engineers, sustaining engineering, controls (HVAC, Refrigeration)

What is the ReLaunch Program All About?

Throughout our 12-week paid “returnship” program, you will:

  • Work on challenging projects within your expertise and areas of interest alongside experts in your field.
  • Interact in a collaborative team environment in a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Connect with a network of mentors and sponsors dedicated to the growth of your career who will provide coaching to sharpen and refresh your engineering capabilities.
  • Develop a work schedule and style that balances personal needs and professional goals.
  • Enhance technical and leadership skills and grow your potential.

All participants are assessed and evaluated for full time employment with Trane Technologies! All of our former ReLaunchers are still employed full time with Trane Technologies!

Program Participation Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience
  • BS or higher in an engineering field (electrical, mechanical, software preferred)
  • Voluntary career break for 1 year or more
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in returning to a full-time role in engineering
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
