Job Summary:
Trane Technologies has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a Regional Sales Leader within our Life Science Solutions business! The responsibilities of this position are to hire, develop and lead a high performing Field Sales team and build sales processes and strategies to accelerate growth for the business. will own and execute territory & regional planning and strategic relationship management within a region inclusive of healthcare, pharma, biotech, academic/research, CDMO customers, and associated OEM services; in addition to driving value creation working closely with a broad network of internal stakeholders to evolve our customer experience and brand awareness through marketing and field activities. This role will be accountable to drive share gain and profitable revenue and marginal growth across the portfolio of Life Science Solutions product lines.
The successful candidate will be respected among high level decision makers in the life sciences industry as a “trusted advisor” and will have the ability to communicate a crisp vision of what Trane technologies brings to the Life Sciences space.

What you will do:
- Hires, leads, and retains the Life Science Solutions West sales team.
- Responsible for attracting, onboarding, and mentoring top sales talent. Provide inspiration, coaching and motivation to the team; build department bench strength through individual/personal development initiatives.
- Develop sales excellence measures; identify and develop processes, sales tools and reporting essential to manage key health systems and partners; drive internal improvements.
- Analyze sales performance and use data to project sales and identify new opportunities; Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts. Assess, monitor, and recommend sales strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Travel regularly with regional field sales team; up to 50 - 75% travel.
- Overall responsibility for the following functions: customer and regional sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, setting quotas, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
- Responsible for achieving annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share.
- Responsible for promoting all Trane Systems linkage Programs: including In-Warranty-Service Agreements and when appropriate, Building Automation to Service.
- Assemble high performance teams and interact with Account Executives with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios.
- Manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching Account Executives effectiveness and efficiency in relation to project attainments, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:
- DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
- Prior sales leadership experience preferred and success. Proven ability to grow and develop a team in dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen, understands business issues, adapts, and remains flexible during times of change, comprehends implications to decisions and provides strategic alternatives to achieve goals.
- Demonstrates a high degree of personal accountability; builds atmosphere of trust and a culture of ownership within the sales team.
- Proven collaborator both internally and externally. Able to make business connections, develop and maintain long-term strategic business relationships at all levels within the account and with Trane business leaders.
- Adapt at developing and training a disciplined strategic account planning process.
- Exhibits persuasive, strategic selling skills and influences the customer to take action by effectively demonstrating how Trane Life Science products are unique and valued over other industry participants.
- Demonstrates flexibility in being open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles. Adjusts rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution.
Compensation:
Total Target Compensation (TTC): Starts at $175,000 including an incentive plan. TTC is based on experience.
