Job Summary:
This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers to support the projects.
- Strong focus on sheet metal part design, casting part design. Prepare layouts and concept designs, sketches and detailed drawings as required.
- Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.
- Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and project partners.
- Provides design support for current production parts and products.
- Feasibility study on VAVE projects.
- Commit to deliver 100% QDC.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 6-9 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
Key Competencies:
- Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Creo & Sheetmetal design
- Having Windchill experience will be added advantage
- Hands on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects.
- Strong knowledge on sheet metal, Casting, Machining design and manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge and application of Tolerance stack up and analysis.
- Good knowledge on Bill of Materials.
- HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.
- Good Oral and Written communication skills.
- Must be able to adjust changing demands, priorities and objectives.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities of manufacturing and field issues.
- Coach and develop team members.
- Project management skills.
