In this role, you will directly influence dealer capability, customer satisfaction, and successful new product launches across the EMEA region by developing world‑class technical training content.
What will you do
As a Technical Training Development Engineer for New Product Development (NPD), you will represent the Thermo King Academy team across all NPD programs. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors to develop high‑quality technical training materials that support dealer development, service excellence, and new product readiness.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop technical training content for Thermo King Academy trainers and support their capability development
• Drive customer satisfaction by enhancing technical training offerings for Thermo King & FRIGOBLOCK dealers and customers across EMEA
• Continuously develop your own technical expertise, staying current with Transport Refrigeration industry standards, technologies, and required certifications
• Support development of expert‑level training courses and train the Academy Trainer team to deliver advanced programs to EMEA dealers
• Collaborate with Engineering, Service teams, and dealers to develop new product training programs
• Participate in service meetings, conferences, and support Area Service Managers with presentations
• Update and manage the Thermo King Learning Management System (LMS), including creation of new e‑learning modules, tutorials, simulators, and other digital content
• Ensure the TK LMS remains the authoritative training reference point for global dealers
• Stay updated on product technical and reliability performance, and adjust training content to reflect continuous product improvements
You will be accountable for meeting Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) expectations for all assigned training development projects.
What you will bring
• BE degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering with strong academic background
• 3–5 years of industry experience
• Experience in Transport Refrigeration or Automobile sector is an added advantage
• Additional language proficiency, especially European languages, is a plus
Key Competencies
• Strong product knowledge of Transport Refrigeration units and refrigeration components
• Proficiency in instructional design and training development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate Rise
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, hierarchies, and global business units
• Good understanding of electrical architectures and key electrical components used in transport refrigeration units
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with dealers, customers, and internal teams
• Passion for technology, continuous learning, and improving service‑related technical knowledge
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within project timelines
