Where is the work:  

On-Site (5 days)  

What you will do:

  • Assist in annual budgeting and standard cost setting process, forecasting, and reporting of the income statement and balance sheet
  • Manage annual physical inventory process and related reconciliations
  • Manage CapEx process and projects with related tracking reconciliations
  • Mange the obsolete & slow-moving inventory reserves and planning
  • Identify and investigate material variances to ensure accurate material cost
  • Execute standards-setting process and maintain standard costs in ERP
  • Partner with Controller on the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Assist in the education and compliance of financial processes and policies, supporting compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits, as well as company practices & values
  • Drive and participate in operational excellence initiatives to support achievement of organizational goals
  • Ensure the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial reports to plant management to facilitate understanding and analysis of the business and business opportunities
  • Coach & develop cost accountants on both material cost system work and data analytics
  • Support with ad hoc analysis of results, budgets, and forecasts with focus on P&L performance, cash flow, working capital optimization, investments and productivity, and financial ratios

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline required
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or finance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience in complex integrated supply chain is a plus
  • Strong PC Skills required: Advanced Excel Skills, PowerPoint, and Teams

Key Competencies:

  • Skills and competencies should include verbal and written communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to work independently and, also, in a team environment
  • Proven success implementing process improvement and change management initiatives strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to coach and teach junior cost accountants both technical and soft skills relevant to their role
  • Understanding of cost accounting with overheads and absorption, material backflushing, inventory valuation, and material variance system management

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $75,500-121,800
