We are hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Clarksville, TN! As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will evaluate, define, improve, and support production processes and documentation as part of engineering activities enabling daily operations. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launches, and continuous improvement. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness. This position has been designated as on-site.

Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days)
What you will do:
Identify, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing documentation including standard work, process maps, production floor layouts, equipment setup standards, routings and cycle times, quality controls and acceptance criteria, tooling and fixture records, machine capability, and more.
- Collaborate with plant maintenance staff to ensure all equipment functions as expected and is maintained correctly while meeting OSHA compliant safety regulations.
- Develop concepts and define manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI) and product enhancement programs using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), 3P (Production Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
- Participate in plant VA/VE and capital expenditure activities including proposals, planning, CER creation and approval, capital spending, and project execution and implementation.
- Utilize the principles of engineering discipline while mentoring junior engineering staff and leading projects, including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management, and Simultaneous Engineering.
What you will bring:
A minimum of 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Project Management, Process Automation and AutoCAD or similar design software experience.
- Aptitude for mechanical/electrical application as related to equipment/processes.
- Communication skills to articulate voice of the customer.
- Ability to coach, advise and develop teammates and peers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design, tolerancing, equipment performance, etc.
- Understanding of part structure (BOMs, routings, etc.) and manufacturing environment documentation (standard work, process maps, production floor layouts, time studies, etc.)
Nice to have (desired):
- Experience supporting kitting and/or packaging cells, along with knowledge of packaging equipment and processes
- Experience with metal fabrication methods (cutting, brazing, stamping, forming/bending, welding, etc.) and related equipment and software
- Experience with cable/harness assembly methods (crimping, soldering, ultrasonic welding, connector assembly, etc.)
- Experience working in a high-mix low-volume (HMLV) manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Oracle (ERP) and Windchill (PLM) systems

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000
