Join Trane Technologies as a Senior Welding & Assembly Process Quality Engineer Scroll, you will develop robust and reliable Welding & Assembly processes to support regular operations, NPD programs, and productivity initiatives in Monterrey facility.  The Senior PQE should constantly meet Product/Project Costs, Quality, and implementation schedule established. Manage controls implemented to ensure welding standards and certification are achieved. Lead and coach the team on the best BOS standard and practices.

What you will do:

  • Apply high technical skills in developing complex Welding & Assembly processes, performing and mentoring Process Controls.
  • Define specifications, approval protocols, runoff, and installation requirements for Capital equipment related to Welding Process.
  • Perform advanced problem solving using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9 Step Problem Solving, and 5-Why tools to systematically determine root cause.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve welding programs through deep analysis of Critical Dimensions and Tolerancing. 
  • Design/select tools and fixtures, define inspection process and quality certification according to welding process.
  • Develop and update Certification program to operators and setups in base to international Welding Standards (AWS). 
  • Perform administrative tasks as part of project implementation: Purchase Orders and follow up (Capital, equipment, fixtures, and tools).
  • Measure, analyze and improve indicators SCRAP, FPY, DPU's, Downtime and Efficiency.
  • Develop and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, JSAs, Ergonomic studies related to welding and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate in Opex initiatives as VSAs, RIEs, and Gembas.
  • Analyze, follow and solving costumer CARs.
  • Lead PQA. auditors and set-up team/personal for the welding and assembly operations.
  • Develop/document and employee engagement strategy for the Team (9-step) based on EE survey results.
What we expect of you: 
  • Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic BSc degree, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality or similar.
  • Manufacturing/Process/Quality Engineer with 7-10 years on welding and assembly process. 
  • Project Management, Team management.
  • Very competent/mentor on Lean Manufacturing, Material flow, DMAIC, GD&T, MiniTab, TPM, Autocad. 
  • English Conversational
