Service Manager for Marine EMEA
Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to meet & exceed AOP targets set for the territory, ensuring TK service standards through the dealer network and ensure high end client satisfaction.
Preferred location: Benelux countries, Italy, Spain or France.
Responsibilities:
- Realize growth according to AOP via existing dealer network. Maximize service, parts and aftermarket sales based on the sales plan and following up on performance targets with existing and occasionally new dealers.
- Managing the relationship with dealers & direct customers and act as a primary point of contact between the Thermo King (TK) EMEA and dealers.
- Manage close communication with the dealerships to ensure they are aware of the of innovation/changes within TK Marine. Provide training to support the technical and practical knowledge of TK’s equipment, it’s applications and maintenance in the field. Act as a link between internal departments and dealerships including aftermarket, warranty, sales, product development
- Collect and structure competitive market information and work closely with regional sales managers to achieve sales target
- Develop options to gain competitive advantage to keep best service after warranty and develop value proposition for parts and service. Provide field feedback to ensure new product development.
- Develop and lead service strategy in the region of responsibility. Improve the service knowledge of the customers and ensure continuous improvement. Provide training to ensure high service standards of dealers.
- Provide technical, training and service support to dealers in the designated territory - Ensure Dealers have appropriate tools and competencies to provide good level of service to end-customers. Ensure all service changes/improvements are applied in the field.
- Develop and use well-defined and proven approaches to analyze and solve problems. Analyze and manage risk to reduce customer impact.
- Provide technical sales support to regional sales managers. Support Sales for post-selling service and participate in sales activities.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s technical degree in engineering or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in service department or a related field.
- Significant experience in transport refrigeration, logistics, HVAC industrial sales or a related business environment.
- Nice to have knowledge in marine segment.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous (Spanish, Italian or French).
- Availability to travel within the region, approximately one week per month.
